After Jackie

After Jackie celebrates the 75th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s integration into Major League Baseball. Robinson opened the door for other African Americans to join the league and this documentary taps into key people and events in the aftermath.. Interviews include, Bill White, Bob Gibson, Hank Aaron and many others who lived through these times.

I met Bill White in 2014, and after reading his book "Uppity" we started working together developing this story. I traveled around the country interviewing on camera Hall of Fame players that experienced the "Jim Crow" south in the 60's. Players like Bob Gibson, Hank Aaron, Juan Marichal, Orlando Cepeda and others. Bill and I then partnered with Major League Baseball who also brought in Uninterrupted a LeBron James organization to help complete the project.

In 2022 After Jackie was nominated for a national sports Emmy.
